"Heartstrings Design Team BLOG HOP"

Hi all!  WE ARE BLOG HOPPING!  I am super excited.  If you just hopped here from Anne, then you are right where you are supposed to be and I will be the last blog you will visit from the hop before sending you back to the beginning.  If this is your first hop stop, you might want to start at the beginning by hopping back over to Shelley.

On that note, welcome to Stinkin' Sweet Scrappin'.  I am so glad that you stopped in.  For this blog hop, I am showcasing our sponsors stamps:  My Heart Stamps 4 You in this fabulous card.  I started off with Kraft paper as the base of my card and covered it in turquoise cardstock paper then overlaid it with vellum.  I used this stinkin' cute pattern paper that has various colored dots all over (this is where I pulled my color palette from).  I then used a scalloped edge punch on a piece of white cardstock paper.  I used the same turquoise cardstock and white cardstock to matte the MHS4Y stamp.  This stamp is called Jenny.  I added some cute buttons strung with ribbon and ribbon at the very bottom in pink and brown.  Finally, I finished the entire card with my famous one-corner punch at the top right.  Just for fun, I did a hidden message "a flower blooms once."  I hope you all love it...

...Along with the Heartstrings Design Team, I am doing a GIVEAWAY...yes, a GIVEAWAY.  I hope you are all excited.  I have been entering in on so many giveaways where the kits were created using things they already had.  So I started going through all my scrapbooking things and I decided to create my own little kit.  This is a mini album kit.  Included in this kit is a 30 page mini album, several different pattern papers from the DCWV "Premier Paper Stack: The Green Stack," a set of rub-on letters, and embellishments: buttons, brads, and flower brads.  I really wanted to gather things that screamed summer time and I think I got it.  So here it is...

TO ENTER INTO THE GIVEAWAY...
1. Follow my blog.
2. Leave me a comment and let me know you are following me.
3. Please leave me a way to get a hold of you if you win.
Very simple!  I will be using random.org to pick a winner on the evening of July 18 @ 8:00pm PST.

I am so glad that you all stopped in to blog hop with us.  Below is the order of the blog hop in case you get lost.  From here, hop back over to Shelley's blog to join in on the main challenge.

I hope you all had a great time.  This will not be the last you see of us and I hope it won't be the last I see of you all.  Please don't forget to stop by our sponsors website, My Hearts Stamps for You.  I hope you all get inspired to get crafty.  Take care, till next time.

"Happy Birthday to YOU"

Hello all!  So I thought this weekend was going to be super BUSY...but my Hubby isn't feeling so great and the good wifey that I am, I am taking care of him.  While he is sleeping, I thought I would get some crafting done.

On that note, I am part of a card club with some of the most creative ladies that I know and every month us ladies (10 to be exact...I think) create cards to exchange once a month.  We have changed things up a little bit because I don't know about you all, but I am thinking 10 cards is a lot of paper and supplies.  So we are breaking into groups of 3 and 4, which will lessen the amount of cards we make and we will rotate groups every month.  It is so much fun to see what everyone comes up.  For this month, I was inspired by a card that Kristina Werner created and this digital stamp that I found over at Fred She said Designs (this was created by her son...so cute and I couldn't resist).  Please check out their blogs and see where my inspiration came from.  I took the sketch and made it my own.

Finally, I am also entering this card in the "Operation Write Home: Stars and Stamps" blog.  This is an awesome blogs that supports our troops to send them blank cards to send home to their families.  It is an amazing thing what they are doing over here.  Check out their blog, they are blog touring this weekend.  I hope you all love and get inspired to get crafty yourselves.  Take care, till next time.
