"With Sympathy"

Hey all!  A few weeks ago my husbands co-worker passed away suddenly and yesterday we were invited to attend his memorial celebration with his wife, kids, family, and friends.  At the spur of the moment I decided I can't go without making a card to write our condolences to the family.  I remembered a card that I absolutely loved from one of the blogs I follow, Clips-N-Cuts.  I took her layout of the card and somewhat made it my own. I really loved how the card came out and I hope you all do too.  Enjoyed and be inspired.  Take care!

"Happy 2 Birthday"

Hey all!  How is everyone doing on 'Hello Thursday?'  There are some really great giveaways out there and I hope all of you joined in on a few.  I got inspired by all the amazing cards out there from the giveaways that I wanted to create one of my own using my Cricut!  My little nephews 2nd birthday is coming up here really soon and I need to make a cute little boys card for him.  I usually don't have paper that shouts out boy; however, I remember I bought 'The Guy Stack' at Joann's when it was on sale one day and this is what I came up with.  I hope you all enjoy and are inspired to be creative today.  Take care!

"You're Special"

Happy Monday!
How is everyone doing today?  I hope very well.  I was looking through some of the many blogs that I follow and I got completely inspired by this card over at Dezine4me by one of my closest friends Ruthy.  She made this card at a Craft Night we have every Saturday night and I just loved it. Click to here check out her version of the card.  On that note, I needed to make a card for another friend of mine and I figured why not try it out.  Then I realized yesterday I had done a challenge over at and I followed the same sketch.  I might just have to share this one over there as well.  Here is a reminder of the sketch...

As I thought I would've, I did enjoy making the card.  It is simple yet sweet and I got to use my blender pen.  Again, as always, I used scraps that I had from previous projects.  I hope you all love it and get inspired to create your version of the card.  If you do, I would love to see them.  Please leave a comment and post a URL of where I can see your picture at.  Thanks and take care!

"Readers Choice Color Inspiration" Layout

Hello all!  As you all know, last week I posted a few pictures that was apart of Kristina Werners "Color Inspiration Photo."  Thank you to everyone who voted for my pictures I do appreciate it.  However, I didn't win the vote (but I had over 18 votes).  The photo that did win is...

...that is the photo that won, the ribbon with the pink flower and green leaves.  I love the picture though and I was kind of hoping it would win.  On that note, the colors needed to create a card, layout, or what have you is baja blue (almost a baby blue), kiwi green (lime green), rose, pale pink, light grey, and white.  I was going to do a card; however, I have been on a roll with making cards and I haven't made a layout in a while.  So here is my creation.  Again, I used lots of scraps and tried to find the colors that were needed to match as closely as possible.  I hope you all love it.  I am submitting it over at Kwernerdesign Blog.  Please be inspired by the photo and colors and join in on the fun.  Take care!

"Thanks" Sketch Challenge from EBTKS

Hi all!  I know I haven't been on in a while, I wasn't feeling crafty inspired and I needed a break.  I am feeling refreshed and back to my crafty side.  Today I was inspired by so many different challenges that I came across and the one being posted here is from Everything but the Kitchen Sink.  It is a sketch challenge:

I love this sketch because it is simple and fun.  More importantly I love the title of this blog (Everything but the Kitchen Sink) which of course fit right in with what I love to do.  I immediately dug right into all my scraps and went searching for the perfect colors to go together.  There are all kinds of things going on in this card.  I hope you love it and get inspired.  Have fun and enjoy!

P.S.  There will be a few more postings between today and tomorrow as there were many challenges I wanted to participate in.

"Color Inspiration" Take three!

So, I am sucker for my photos.  As I began looking through them all, I came across this one that was taken at Ethel M. Chocolate Factory.  This is all made out of chocolate and I love the colors incorporated.  I think I am done adding photos, three times a charm for me!  Again, enjoy and have fun.

"Color Inspiration" Take two!

This is another photo that I couldn't resist to add to Kwernerdesign color inspiration challenge.  I absolutely love it.  It was taken at City Center in Crystals.  It is actual ice sculptures that were lit up with neon lights.  Again, enjoy and join in on the fun!

"Color Inspiration"

Hi everyone!  As you all know, I love to do challenges and this one just has me completely inspired and excited too.  Over at Kristina Werner's blog Kwernerdesign, she is have this two part challenge.  The first part is to upload a picture that has some great color and inspires you to do something with those colors.  Once all photos have been submitted (by this Tuesday), we all get to vote on the one that inspires us the most and then the challenge begins.  Please, go check out her blog for more instructions to the challenge.  As for me, this is one photo I will be submitting.  I love this.  It was taken at the Bellagio right outside their botanical garden.  We love to go there every season, it is amazing!  I hope you enjoy and join in on the fun.

"thinking of you" Easel Card

Good evening everyone!  Tonight is 'Craft Night' with the girls.  I was inspired by my friend Toni for this card.  She shared with me that she got her inspiration from Canadian Nickel Scrap'n (Check out this blog, it is amazing).  On that note, I had to try out this type of card, I had never made one.  This is very simple for me, Kraft paper, scrap papers, and the 'thinking of you' stamp.  I hope you enjoy and get inspired.  Take care, till next time!
